ACODO assists orphans and disabled children who are poor or live on the street or garbage tip. We also support indigent families. We provide both children and teenagers foreign languages and specialist skills. ACODO is responding to the lack of informal education in Cambodia by also offering these opportunities to children living with their families nearby.
Foreign languages taught are English, Japanese, Korean, and German. Specialist skills or short courses are Hotel and tourism, Hotel Accounting, Front office, Food & Beverage, Restaurant and bar, Marketing Management, Management and leadership, Finance and banking, Computer course, Administration, Law, International relations, Political science and Accounting.
Furthermore, ACODO has provided them with social teaching such as Human Rights education, Health Care education and Environment education in accordance with the requirements in Cambodian society. The orphans and the disabled are provided with meals three times a day, study supplies (books, pens, pencils, etc.) and essential daily items (clothes, shoes, toiletries etc).
Moreover, they are assisted with study in state schools and life skills programs (foreign languages and specialist courses) in ACODO.
How to find us !
It's easy to find ACODO Orphanage.
ACODO’s new address is at Group 5, Wat SwayVillage, Sangkat Salakamrek, Siem Reap Town, Siem Reap Province, the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Our new residence is much better than the old one - it is located next to the main road to Tonle Sap / Phnom Krom (a busy road with tourists visiting Tonle Sap Lake and coming from other provinces by boat). It is also very near to the town (1200m from Pub Street / Old Market) and much easier to find so tourists can come and visit us on foot or by bicycle or tuk-tuk.
